Overview</p>
<p>This scholarship is open to nationals of the following APEC member economies to pursue a full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at NTU:</p>

Eligibility criteria</p>
<p>• Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are not eligible to apply<br />
• A good bachelor’s degree<br />
• At least two years of management or professional experience<br />
• Proficiency in the English Language<br />
• An acceptable score in the Graduate Management Admission Test [GMAT]<br />
• You should not be on paid employment or accept paid employment or concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary or top-up allowance during the prescribed period of the award</p>
<p>Bond</p>
<p>There is no bond attached to the scholarship. No deferment of scholarship awarded will be allowed. Awards that are not taken up will be given to other qualified candidates.</p>
<p>Coverage</p>
<p>• Each scholarship is tenable for 4 trimesters (? 16 months) only<br />
• Each scholarship shall cover the following:<br />
? Monthly stipend of S$1,400.00<br />
? Book allowance of S$500.00<br />
? Tuition fee, health insurance, examination fee and other approved fees, allowances and expenses<br />
? Cost of one overseas Business Study Mission (for MBA candidates only) undertaken within the tenable period of the scholarship<br />
? Cost of travel from home country to Singapore on award of the scholarship<br />
? Cost of travel from Singapore to home country on successful completion of the Masters degree within the tenable period of the scholarship</p>
<p>Application procedure</p>
<p>Open in November and close in December each year. Application for the APEC scholarship is to be submitted online via http://www.nanyangmba.ntu.edu.sg/online.asp. Applicants are advised to print and keep a copy of their online application for reference.</p>
<p>After submitting the online application, applicants should check that the Transcript Request Form is printed and sent to the appropriate authority of the University or institution attended for a transcript to be issued directly to this University. Specific instruction are given in the form.</p>
<p>Supporting documents need to be sent to MBA office by post. Applications without application fee or supporting documents will not be processed.</p>
<p>Please print &#8220;APEC SCHOLARSHIP&#8221; on the top left hand corner of the envelope.</p>
<p>Upon receipt of your application form and application fee, an acknowledgement will be issued to you. The acknowledgement also serves as the receipt of payment of the application fee.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Master Scholarship in Various Programme by Dutch Government (StuNed Programme)</p>
<p>StuNed, Studeren in Nederland, is a scholarship programme focusing on mid-career professionals, as part of the bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and the Netherlands. The scholarship programme aims to contribute to the development of Indonesia through strengthening the human resources of Indonesian organisations. Individual applicants may apply for master degree or short courses in the Netherlands, whilst institutions may apply through the StuNed Group Application and/or for refresher courses.<br />
The StuNed programme is supporting the Dutch policy for development co-operation with Indonesia and aims to contribute to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals in 2015.<br />
<span id="more-1120"></span><br />
The framework for the bilateral relations between the Netherlands government with Indonesia is laid down in the Multi-Annual Strategic Plan 2008-2011 (MASP). The overall objective is to strengthen bilateral relations and to support Indonesia in realizing its medium term development goals. The MASP aims to achieve the the following four strategic goals:</p>
<p>1. Improved democracy, stability, human rights and governance, resulting in a just and safe society;<br />
2. Improved economic governance, resulting in sustainable economic growth and an equal distribution of growth through society, in order to decrease poverty more rapidly;<br />
3. Improved environmental and climate policy and implementation, resulting in increased use of renewable energy, sustainable management of natural resources, reducing emissions of greenhouse gas and adaptation to climate change;<br />
4. Intensified bilateral relations through a `comprehensive partnership framework`.</p>
<p>The StuNed programme focuses on generating and strengthening institutional capacity in support of the above mentioned strategic goals. Related study fields are: education, rural development, environment, water management and sanitation, trade, good governance and human rights, gender, and culture.</p>
<p>Candidate`s profiles<br />
The target group for the StuNed scholarships programme will be Indonesian mid-career professionals. Priority will be given to candidates from Indonesian partner organisations of the Dutch Embassy: ministries, local governments, NGOs and in some cases also the private sector.</p>
<p>The ideal StuNed candidates is strongly committed to develop human resources in Indonesia; to increase the institutional capacity of the Indonesian partner organizations; to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and the Netherlands, and the effectiveness of the existing cooperation projects.</p>
<p>Eligible courses<br />
In general, all international training and degree courses offered by Dutch providers are eligible, as long as the chosen programme is in line with the priority areas as mentioned in the Multi Annual Strategic Plan (MASP) 2008-2011. <p>StuNed for Master Degree Programmes<br />
Main requirements to apply:</p>
<p>- be an Indonesian national;<br />
- have earned a S1 or Bachelor`s degree or its equivalent at a recognized university in Indonesia; be able to provide evidence of the academic achievements (minimum G.P.A. score 2.75):<br />
- relevant work experience for at least two years;<br />
- have an academic or professional background that is related to the subject of the course;<br />
- be full time available for the entire period of the study programme or course and be able to participate in and complete all courses;<br />
- TOEFL Computer based 213, or ITP 550, IELTS 6)<br />
- be admitted to one of the courses or programmes offered by Institutes of Higher Education in the Netherlands for the academic year 2010;<br />
- no age limit, but priority will be given to mid-career professionals.</p>
<p>Eligible study programmes<br />
All master courses in www.studyinholland.nl with a duration of less then two years, and with a clear relation to the objectives of the StuNed programme.</p>

<p>StuNed for Tailor-Made Training Programmes<br />
Institutions, consortia and functional networks (hereafter called institutions/networks) may submit a collective application for staff upgrading. Training needs can consist of existing master courses (including the Dutch part of a double degree programmes) and short courses or tailor made programmes.</p>
<p>Priority will be given to the Indonesian partner organisations of the Dutch Embassy. Institutions and other organization related to the development sectors which are mentioned in the MASP are also eligible.</p>
<p>Tailor made programmes are defined as short courses of which the starting date, location and/or time frame is adjusted to the institutions requirements. The programme may take place entirely or partly in Indonesia or the Netherlands.</p>

<p>Refresher Courses<br />
The refresher course is designed for the Dutch alumni and StuNed alumni in particular. The aim of refresher courses is to refresh and up-date the alumni with the latest knowledge and skill in their fields. Priority will be given to issues relate to the MASP.</p>
<p>Proposal may be requested by the institutions where the alumni work for. The entirely programme will be held in Indonesia for two weeks.</p>

<p>The Japan Indonesia Presidential Scholarship Program</p>
<p>Funded by a grant from the Government of Japan, the Japan Indonesia Presidential Scholarship Program (JIPS) supports PhD studies in an academic field of study covered by ten Indonesian Centers of Excellence (CoE) participating in the program. Each of these newly established Centers of Excellence is located at a leading higher education institution in the country with a demonstrated track record in the pursuit of excellence. The goal of the program is to promote excellence in research in these Centers to support the Ministry of National Education in its mission to improve the quality of higher education and research in the country.<br />
<span id="more-1118"></span><br />
Interested candidates can find applications here. Please read all instructions before below before filling out the application.</p>
<p>Who can apply?</p>
<p>Applicants must meet the following general criteria to be eligible for a scholarship:</p>
<p>Be a national and resident of Indonesia<br />
Be under 45 years at application deadline<br />
Must have completed and been awarded a master&#8217;s degree, or equivalent, at the time of application however, outstanding candidates with a bachelor degree can be considered for a Master-PhD track<br />
Have maintained a GPA of at least 3 on a scale of 4 in both undergraduate and graduate studies<br />
Full-time lecturer and/or researcher in a Center of Excellence (CoE) or equivalent institution in Indonesia are encouraged to apply.</p>
<p>Attention!<br />
Interested candidates should submit application packages by March 26, 2010 to the relevant Center of Excellence of their choice. Preselected candidates will be invited to an interview by the end of April 2010.</p>
<p>What is the Program&#8217;s purpose?</p>
<p>The purpose of the Program is to support scholarship recipients in upgrading their qualifications and to provide them with an international study experience at leading academic institutions in World Bank member countries, except Indonesia. During their studies, scholars are encouraged to build and foster academic collaborations and partnerships. On return to Indonesia, scholars are expected to take an active role in the academic life of the sponsoring CoE.</p>
<p>Host Institution</p>
<p>Candidates should seek admission at a university of their choice in World Bank member countries.</p>
<p>What does the scholarship cover?</p>
<p>The scholarship covers full tuition for a period of three to four years, and the cost of basic medical and accident insurance usually obtained through the university.<br />
A monthly subsistence allowance to cover living expenses, including books.<br />
Economy class air travel between the home country and the host university at the start of the study program and one return journey following the end of the overall scholarship period. In addition to the ticket, scholars receive a US $500 travel allowance for each trip.<br />
The benefits only apply to the scholarship recipient.</p>
<p>The JIPS scholarship does not cover:</p>
<p>expenses for the scholar&#8217;s family<br />
educational equipment such as computers</p>
<p>What are the fields of study supported by JIPS?</p>
<p>The proposed program of study and research proposal should reflect the sponsoring CoE: Biotechnology, Bioenergy, Infrastructure and Urban Development, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Bioindustry and Business, Good Corporate Governance, Distance Learning, Special Needs Education, Reproductive Health, Economic Policy.</p>
<p>How are awardees selected?</p>
<p>Eligible candidates are evaluated by the sponsoring Center of Excellence (CoE) which screens the applications according to their selection procedures for graduate scholarships. Final awards are made by a Steering Committee, based on the following:</p>
<p>academic records<br />
professional and academic experience; and<br />
relevance of proposed program of study to the corresponding CoE.<br />
Selected candidates will be informed by the relevant CoE.</p>
<p>Scholar&#8217;s Commitment</p>
<p>The scholarship recipient will be requested to sign a formal commitment to return and work in his/her sponsoring CoE for a minimum of a two-year period for each year of scholarship received. Each CoE commits to recruit its sponsored scholars upon completion of their PhD studies .</p>
<p>Scholars are expected to mention the JIPS scholarship in any publication related to their doctoral research work, including their thesis, and to provide the Program with a copy of their thesis upon graduation</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Scholarships at The University of Manchester</p>
<p>The Discipline of Social Statistics and the Centre for Census and Survey Research at the University of Manchester offer an MSc programme in Social Research Methods and Statistics. The programme provides a firm grounding in advanced quantitative methods, taught within an applied social science framework. The programme is designed to be accessible to non-statisticians yet more focussed than most of the existing Masters courses in social research methods. The MSc course offers relevant and marketable skills for a career in research and is recognised for PhD training by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). Modules are taught with an emphasis on hands-on training in the application of methods and software. The programme is available full-time over one year or part-time over two years.<br />
<span id="more-1115"></span><br />
Scholarships that will cover the fees of up to three excellent full time (Home/EU) students or of one excellent full time overseas student are currently available. In the case of exceptional applicants, in addition to the fees, and subject to funds being available, we will consider offering a bursary towards living expenses. The fees for full time Home/EU students are £3,500 and for full time overseas students £11,300.</p>
<p>Both Home/EU and overseas students are eligible for these scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and potential, which will be judged based on academic qualifications and performance and prior experience in social research methods and/or statistics.</p>
<p>The deadline for applications is Wednesday 31st March.<br />
Everyone applying for a full time place in the MSc programme by March 31st 2010 will automatically be considered for these scholarships. Successful applicants will be notified by May 14. When applying, please submit with your application, a CV, an analytic transcript of your degree and two academic reference letters.</p>

The NEPAD- Southern Africa Network for Bio Sciences (SANBio) is implementing the Finnish- South African Partnership Programme known as “BioFISA” which will enable SANBio to roll out its Business Plan in the SADC region over a period of three years. For effective implementation, the BioFISA Programme is divided into five interlinked components among them is the R &#038; D Projects. The NEPAD/SANBio-Regional Fish Node at Bunda College, University of Malawi is implementing one of the eight R &#038; D priority projects focusing on securing fish biodiversity found in some of the large inland water bodies inSouthern Africa.<br />

The NEPAD/SANBio-Fish Node is pleased to announce two scholarships in Fish Genetics available not later than April 2010. The scholarships are tenable at the University of Malawi, Bunda College and the University of Zambia (UNZA) or the Copperbelt University (CBU) in Zambia. Bright young men and women from the SANBio Network Region (Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Seychelles, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe) are encouraged to apply for these two year prestigious scholarships.</p>
<p>REQUIREMENTS</p>
<p>The candidate will have been admitted for an MSc in Aquaculture and Fisheries Science, Fish Biodiversity or related fields in one of the following Universities:</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Panasonic Scholarship Program was established in 1998 in commemoration of the company’s 80th anniversary as a way for the company to express its appreciation to society. Its aim is to provide scholarship opportunities to privately financed students from Asian countries who wish to pursue a master’s course in Japan, to offer financial assistance to foster highly educated experts who can contribute to the development of their countries in the 21st century, and to promote mutual friendship between their home countries and Japan.</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility</strong><br />
<span id="more-1101"></span><br />
A privately financed student from Indonesia, who wishes to pursue a master’s course in Japan, should meet the following requirements:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Nationality:</strong><br />
Applicants must be citizens of Indonesia</li>
<li><strong>Educational Background etc:</strong><br />
Applicants must be graduates or pending graduates of universities and have a distinguished academic record and must have completed 16 years of school education or have been accepted as eligible for enrollment at the targeted graduate schools. However, applicants must have completed their bachelor degrees no more than 4 years prior to the date of their arrival in Japan. (with age less than 26 years old in March 2011).<strong> </strong></li>
<li><strong>Specialization:</strong><br />
Applicants must major in any one of the science and technology disciplines. (Mathematics, Natural Science, Engineering, Bio-technology, Agricultural, and IT (Information Technology)<br />
Note: This excludes medical science, pharmacology and dentistry</li>
<li><strong>Japanese Language Proficiency:</strong><br />
Applicants must have adequate proficiency and knowledge in the Japanese language not only for studying at master’s level but also for understanding Japanese culture.</li>
<li><strong>Health Conditions:</strong><br />
Applicants must be medically fit and must be strongly motivated to study in Japan.</li>
<li><strong>Others:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Applicants must be interested in and have the desire to contribute to the development of Indonesia and to promote friendship between Indonesia and Japan. .</li>
<li>Applicants must obtain a study visa and arrive in Japan by end of March 2011 to attend the award ceremony to be held at Panasonic Headquarters at the beginning of April 2011.</li>
<li>Applicants who are receiving or will receive other scholarships including Japanese Government Scholarships<strong> are not eligible</strong> for the Panasonic Scholarship.</li>
<li>Applicants who are already enrolled at graduate schools in Japan at the time of application <strong>are not eligible</strong> for the Panasonic Scholarship.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Number of students to be accepted</strong></p>
<p>From all applicants, in preliminary stage (phase I) it will be only top 100 candidates enter to next stage. In phase II, there will be only 12 best candidates as finalist. In final stage, through interview, group discussion and other process, the 3 most qualified finalist will be selected to be Panasonic Scholarship Nominees.</p>
<p>Duration of Panasonic Scholarship</p>
<p><strong>Panasonic Scholarship will be provided for three years from April 2011 to March 2014, which covers</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Year One — Enrollment as research students in universities in Japan and Japanese-language training in Japanese-language institutes.</li>
<li>Year Two &amp; Three — Register and complete master’s course in Japan. The entire period shall not exceed three years in any circumstances.</li>
</ol>
<p>The entire period shall not exceed three years in any circumstances. The scholarship will be terminated if a scholarship recipient fails to gain admission to master course in Japan within one year after arrival in Japan (end March, 2011).</p>
<p><strong>Contents of Panasonic Scholarship</strong></p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Assistance Before Arrival in Japan</strong><br />
Including Application Fee and Entrance Fee Assistance for research student and Air Ticket to Japan will provide before leaving for Japan (details will be forwarded to nominated students later)</li>
<li><strong>Scholarship After Arrival in Japan</strong><br />
The scholarship to be provided after arrival in Japan is described below. The duration of the scholarship is limited to the standard education periods as follows:a maximum of 1 year for a research student and 2 years for a master’s course at graduate school. However, the duration of the scholarship is to be shortened accordingly in case where the student’s course of study is less than the standard education period. *Panasonic highly recommends Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) to be a research student for 1 (one) year in order for them to improve Japanese proficiency, to contact with Japanese culture and to set the basic direction of future research theme.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>2.1 Research Student of Graduate School</strong><br />
*Basic Scholarship : ¥150,000 per month<br />
*Tuition Assistance : Actual Amount (a maximum of ¥200,000 to be paid each half year)</li>
<li><strong>2.2 Master’s Course of Graduate School</strong><br />
In the case where students are able to take master’s courses within one year after arrival in Japan, the scholarship to be paid is as set out below.<br />
*Basic Scholarship : ¥180,000 per month<br />
*Entrance Fee Assistance : Actual Amount (a maximum of ¥250,000 to be paid)<br />
*Tuition Assistance : Actual Amount (a maximum of  ¥250,000 to be paid per each half year)</li>

<p><strong>Selection &amp; notification</strong></p>
<p><strong>Phase I</strong><br />
March 10 , 2010 : Deadline for e-Application Submission</p>
<p><strong>Phase II</strong><br />
April 15 –20 , 2010 : The First Screening (By documents)<br />
May 7 – 11 , 2010 : The Second Screening</p>
<p><strong>Phase III</strong><br />
June 7 – 8 , 2010 : Final Selection (Interview)<br />
June 8 , 2010 : Notification of the Result</p>
<p><strong>Application Procedures</strong></p>
<p><strong>Application Procedures: Indonesia Panasonic Office will select  Panasonic Scholarship candidates in three phases, as follow : </strong></p>
<ul>
<li> <strong>PHASE I.</strong><br />
All candidates must apply through (and only by) electronics application. This first selection will seek a record of the applicants overall data including: biographical information, academic records (GPA), language capabilities, and readiness to enroll master degree program in Japan.<br />
The e-application submission will be closed on           <strong> MARCH 10th, 2010</strong> .  	In Phase I, 100 (hundreds) applicants will be selected as semifinalist and their names will be announced in         <strong>MARCH 15th  2010</strong> <strong>.</strong> via e-mail and website.</li>
<li> <strong>PHASE II.</strong><br />
Semifinalists will be notified and receive an official application form through login and download from Panasonic Scholarship Indonesia website (user and password will deliver only to 100 (hundreds) Semifinalist later.<br />
The form will require detailed biographical data, academic report (transcript), an essay of master research proposal, personal recommendations, and Professor acceptance. The semifinalist must submit official application form (item 1 until 5) as mentioned below by mail with deadline on <strong> APRIL 20 th</strong>, <strong>2010</strong>.Documents to be submitted in Phase II :</p>
<ol>
<li>Application form	(prescribed form No.1)</li>
<li>A letter of recommendation from the dean of the university the applicants graduated from (prescribed form No.2)</li>
<li>Study and research plan in Japan (prescribed form No.3)</li>
<li>Original university transcript  (or legalized),  photocopy only without legalized unacceptable.</li>
<li>A certified copy of the applicant’s degree</li>
</ol>
<p>The committee will selects 12 (twelve) finalists based on documents screening, and mini-thesis or research proposal evaluation.</li>
<li> <strong>PHASE III. </strong><br />
On June 7th – 8th, 2010 [tentative] all finalists will be invited to attend the Final Selection Stage. The Committee composed of Panasonic Gobel Group of Companies top management, distinguished universities professors, President of the Panasonic Scholarship Inc.<br />
Japan, and Training &amp; Recruitment Consultants will interview and evaluate each finalist. The 3 (three) most qualified finalists will be selected to be Panasonic Scholarship Nominees.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements for Panasonic Scholarship Student (Nominated)</strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Enrollment in Graduate School and Duration of Research</strong></p>
<p>Panasonic searches a student with passion for studying at graduate school for 3 (three) years. In concrete, Panasonic searches those who;</p>
<ol>
<li>obtain an informal consent from the academic adviser and finish application for enrollment as a research student within 2010,</li>
<li>enroll in  graduate school as a research student in April 2011,</li>
<li>then enroll in  a master’s course in April 2012 and</li>
<li>complete a  mater’s degree in March 2014.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>2.  Japanese Language Proficiency Test</strong></p>
<p>Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) are required to obtain a certain level (Level-3 of Current Test, N4 of New Test) or above for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) conducted in Indonesia at the beginning of December 2010. In line with this, Panasonic recommends a student who has never learned Japanese to start a preparation for Japanese learning before attending the final interview.</p>
<p>Besides, it is said that a student enrolling in a master’s course should reach a certain level (Level-1 of Current Test, N1 of New Test) or above for JLPT in order for them to successfully study and research at graduate school.</p>
<p><strong>Items to be noted</strong></p>

<li><strong>Acquisition of Admission Approval from Graduate School</strong><br />
Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) must compile responsibly all the necessary documents follow the required procedures and preparations for enrolling as a research student such as getting an admission approval from a graduate school.</li>
<li><strong>Reservation of Accommodation</strong><br />
Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) must compile responsibly all the necessary documents, follow the required procedures and preparations for reserving an accommodation and bear expenses related.</li>
<li>Application for Alien Registration<br />
Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) must compile responsibly all the necessary documents, follow the required procedures and<br />
preparations for applying for the alien registration and bear expenses related.</li>
<li>Subscription to Medical Insurance<br />
Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) must compile responsibly all the necessary documents, follow the required procedures and preparations for subscribing to the National Health Insurance and bear expenses related.</li>

<p>Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. Nominated students) are recommended to refer to the Student Guide to Japan issued by Japan Student Services Organization on all initial expenses incurred after arrival in Japan.</p>
<p>The first scholarship payment will be made in April 2011 after the award ceremony.</p>
<p>2. Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) are required to observe Panasonic Scholarship’s Rules and follow instructions given by the Panasonic Scholarship Office of Japan/Indonesia and to submit the necessary documents such as a monthly report, Japanese language progress report, Notice of Informal Consent issued by your target professor and Notice of Admission etc. without delay.</p>
<p>3. Panasonic reserves the right to suspend temporarily or terminate immediately the scholarship if Panasonic finds Panasonic Scholarship students (incl. nominated students) to be in violation of the scholarship conditions.<br />
Panasonic also reserves the right to claim a partial or full refund of the scholarship, entrance fee assistance and tuition fee assistance amount previously-provided when a serious violation of the principles and objectives of the Panasonic Scholarship is found.</p>
<p>4. The documents submitted shall not be returned under any circumstances</p>
